We take a moment to spotlight Chief Robert Long, a dedicated member of our community and a proud 1998 Gates Chili graduate. After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Gannon University, he began his law enforcement career with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office in September 2002. His commitment to public service brought him to the Town of Gates in June 2006. Demonstrating exemplary leadership and dedication, he was appointed as Chief of Police in February 2022, where he continues to serve with distinction.
